Happy News : HOLIDAY HAPPY HOUR FOOD DRIVE --NEW TOUR AND NEW ALBUM!! A HUGE THANKS TO OUR AMAZING NEIGHBORHOOD! The Holiday Happy Hour Food Drive was a HUGE success! Everyone came out each Friday, bringing with them bags and cans of food and we all collected $55 and 305 pounds of food to give to the Mid-ohio Foodbank (! A special thanks to our neighbor, Mark Fisher. who loaded the food and drove it to our home each and every week, a thanks to Rumba Cafe for hosting such a lovely generous food drive and to everyone who brought food to help feed our neighbors!
February brings Happy out on another West Coast tour as the opening act for The Gutter Twins, which is Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan
On the final night of the tour, in Seattle, Happy will have an opening set, Shawn Smith will have an opening set -- and it MIGHT be the only time EVER that the Original Twilight Singers share the stage ( Happy, Greg and Shawn! ) .....should be great!

November / December 2008 News

Happy News : HOLIDAY HAPPY HOUR FOOD DRIVE -- as of 12/05/08 -- we collected over 114 pounds of food and $40 cash! Lets see if we can top that in the next two weeks!! Now that we've welcomed a new president we can be proud of, lets talk hunger!
What in the world would Thanksgiving and Christmas mean without the "giving" part? Without the "thanks" part? Without a little revelry? The answer is "nothing," "nothing," and "more nothing." To help make sure none of us falls prey to a feeling of emptiness and hollow commercialization during these holidays -- and because there are four Fridays nestled in between the two holidays, during which Happy will be holding down the happy hour slot at Rumba Café -- we're putting the "thanks," the "giving," and the "revelry" all together with a Holiday Happy Hour Food Drive. Bring a can of food, a bag of dried beans, a box of mac and cheese, or other non-perishable food to any or all of the shows and receive: a nice, warm feeling of wholeness and generosity as you take a break from the hustle-bustle of the holidays. The generosity goes out into the world and keeps the holidays from being empty. The food goes to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank so that they can do their amazing job of distributing it to people who could use a little warmth in December.
Where: Rumba Cafe 2507 Summit Street (corner of Hudson and Summit). When: 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Fridays from November 28th through December 19th. ( TWO MORE WEEKS DEC 12 and Dec 19 TH) Why: because you care.

August/September 2008 News

Happy News : Happy is beginning work on the new cd! Check here and Myspace for never before released songs,live performances and videos! Hopefully that'll hold you until the new cd comes out!
Happy will be performing a month long residency every Friday from 6-9 pm (happy hour) at Rumba Cafe in Columbus. The shows start Nov 28 and continue each Friday night until Dec 19th! If you are in town for the holidays -- it's a great chance to share happy hour drinks and hear what he's working on! Look for guest performers too!
That will be all of the shows for 2008-- so don't miss them!
Happy's cd, Lovers Come Back is gaining airplay on Sirrius and several other stations - thanks to the successful USA tours opening for RJD2. Check back here and his myspace page ( www.myspace/com/happychichester) for videos and pictures from the tour!
Happy will be playing few dates this summer as he settles in to work on recording his next CD.

Happy News : The indi Short movie, Zoe's Day, was Happy's first film to score and has won several awards and most recently is up to be aired on PBS! click here Zoe's Day to see the film and hear Happy's music -- including the song Save Me recorded by Happy and The Pierces! Happy's cd is now available at Target click here to order!Order Lovers Come Back $13.99 Hi everyone...there are a couple places to get advance tickets to the ( dec 19 ) Chicago, ( dec 20 ) Detroit, ( dec 21 ) Columbus, ( dec 22 ) Athens, OH shows in December...the links are below. You can also get tickets at the door the night of the show-- but they cost a little more! All shows will feature Captain of Industry opening, followed by Happy Chichester - solo, then Happy with his backing band and then The Receiver will round out the night. Most shows start at 10:00 with Happy going on around 11:00---but check his website to be sure --
